Why wait to marry your soul mate
If a two year lead time is not for you, then why not take advantage of our newly released wedding dates here at The Lodge on Loch Goil.
It’s great to have loads of time to plan your big day but sometimes it’s just not possible. You might be leaving the country and want to get married before you set up life somewhere new.
Or maybe you want to be husband and wife before your baby is born.
Or even perhaps you’re just so in love that you can’t wait a second longer to get married.
Last minute weddings are very popular especially in Scotland, you can get married very quickly actually, all legal paperwork can be completed in only 29 days.
In very special circumstances if you would like to bring your wedding forward due to ill heath with a family member or maybe your partner is in the forces and has been posted abroad.
Please don’t worry its quite simple, all you need is a letter explaining your circumstances and the NR (National Records Scotland) will approve.
Most venues consider a wedding in six months time quite a short lead and they know time is running out to book it. I have done many weddings which are all arranged in just a few months.
I had a phone call last October from a music producer from Hawaii who wished to get married very quickly in Scotland. Within 3 phone calls and a few emails all was sorted.

The list was endless, but I do have to say it was a superb wedding. They came and got married and departed back to the US ( The process took 8 weeks ). So remember its not impossible, last minute weddings can be fun.
You do not have time to get stressed as I’m here to take all the stress from you. All you have to do is turn up and marry your soul mate.
An amazing couple got married here last year, their story was quite similar. Angela and Martin came to see me at the end of April 2016 and within a few months everything was ready, they married 5 months later on Saturday 17th September 2016.
Why not have a look.
Angela’s Words
Martin and I met when we were 15. We were both athletes and trained in the National event squad together, we dated for a while then I left Scotland at 17 to study in Oklahoma in the USA on an athletics scholarship, Martin stayed here and began an apprenticeship, unfortunately we lost touch.
Martin works overseas in the oil industry and I work in the motor finance industry in the UK.
We love spending time outdoors together and with family and friends, we have a holiday home on Loch Goil, one day we were out on the boat and saw the Treehouse, originally we planned to go abroad just ourselves and get married but once we saw the Lodge we were hooked.
My dress was by Alfred Angelo from Melle Cloche in the Merchant City in Glasgow.
Our wedding rings were bespoke and made by John MacKay jewellers in Paisley.
And our wedding band was Mojo.
The Lodge was exactly what we wanted, very personal and intimate, outside and beside the water with lots of Scottish elements and traditions.
How Alice managed to weave some magical sunshine and no midges on the day will remain a total mystery!!
Every single one of our guests where blown away by the Lodge, and of course the amazing treehouse. The Lodge staff on the day and beforehand made this a TEN star experience for us from start to finish.
