Built in 1864, The Lodge has been lovingly restored and now houses one of the UK’s largest collections of Arts and Crafts furniture and antiques.
The seven luxurious bedrooms, dramatic sitting room and cosy whisky bar all display period charm, whilst the spectacular dining room exhibits fine examples of original stained-glass windows by Daniel Cottier, hand-painted wallpaper, oak-panelled walls and parquet floor.
The Lodge is a dog friendly venue, however please note that dogs are only permitted in the public areas and Summerhouse, they are not permitted in the bedrooms of the main Lodge building.
Planes, Trains, Automobiles and Boats
The Lodge on Loch Goil is just over an hour’s drive from Glasgow, but can just as easily be reached by train or boat. Understandably famously scenic, the West Highland train line stops in nearby Arrochar and Tarbet, where we can arrange for our driver to pick you up for the short journey to Loch Goil. Newly reopened, the Caledonian Sleeper service now connects this line with London, allowing guests to arrive refreshed and ready to go.
Two moorings are available at The Lodge for yacht and boat-owners. Just over 16 Nautical miles from Kip Marina, you can choose to stay with us overnight or book afternoon tea, lunch or dinner as a non-resident (pre-booking required).
The Ultimate wedding venue
We’ve been hosting weddings for two decades and still love it as much as we did when we started.
We pride ourselves on our versatility, and offer a range of locations for your special day – the Orangery, the Terrace, the Arts & Crafts Room, the shore of the Loch – the choice is yours.
A place to stay, relax, unwind and sleep: long nights and log fires.
The Lodge on Loch Goil boasts 7 luxuriously decorated bedrooms in the main building, and another in the lochside summerhouse.
Restaurant with Rooms
Our restaurant is currently closed due to the ongoing situation with the Covid-19 pandemic.
