Getting married in the spring or summer is a no-brainer for anyone, most people envisioned a wedding with lots of sunshine, beautiful countryside views, great lighting and colour galore… which is exactly the kind of wedding most people want who come and see me.

For most of my weddings, I am keeping my fingers crossed, constantly looking at the internet checking the weather hour by hour for the sunshine.

Having said that, there is something incredibly magical about having a winter wedding.

Walking around the lodge is like walking back in time, this amazing building is suited to the winter months. I see wonderful rooms that are fabulously decorated, rich velvet curtains and log fires. Candlelight in every nook and cranny and a place that guests would enter and immediately feel warm, both inside and out.

Enjoy your wedding breakfast in our historical Arts & Crafts dining room completely candlelit with our roaring log fire.

Take advantage of the stunning scenery that surrounds The Lodge on Loch Goil and then sneak off to our cosy romantic Summerhouse for your first night as a married couple.

December is an amazing month to get married, what could be more romantic than a twinkling Christmas tree, a blanket of snow on the mountains, chilled Champagne and a roaring log fire surrounded by your loved ones on your special day.

Its all about you and the one you love, which we at the lodge would like to play a part in making your day more than you ever dreamed it could be.
