How To Get The Wedding You Want.. Come to Scotland
I am seeing more and more couples over the years, choosing to hold their wedding in the great outdoors, and why not? With beautiful scenery and settings in Scotland, there are so many beautiful spots where couples would like to commit to one another.
Outdoor weddings in Scotland boasts some truly stunning natural landscapes that provide all the romance and a stunning backdrop perfect for your special day.
Scotland is steeped in natural beauty.
A lovely young couple, Lee and Heather, tied the knot at our venue on Saturday10th September 2016, with 45 of their close family and friends.
They had their heart set on getting married outside, thankfully the Scottish rain stayed away, and they got their wish.
Heather’s Words
I had always dreamed of getting married under a tree, outdoors.
The Lodge on Loch Goil was a perfect fit for us as we could have the ceremony outdoors.
The Lodge has a variety of locations, our choice was under the copper beech tree by the Loch it was so beautiful.
The tree house was the icing on the cake for us, my family descend from the Hunter clan, so everything just felt right.
My wedding dress was from Cymbeline and my wedding band was from the famous Hatton Gardens street in London.
Lee’s Words
We got engaged in garden Japan, and it turns out Heather’s grandfather was born 20 miles from Loch Goil.
I love golf. My cuff links and ties were a gift from Heather on the morning of our wedding.
The golf club tie pin is vintage, it and the golf ball cufflinks were purchased on eBay it was a total surprise, I was delighted.
We met whilst working together, we knew it was just meant to be.
After our wedding, we honeymooned in Bali and the Gilli islands, we had the most amazing time.
Most couples envision their day, more and more are opting for a beautiful outdoor wedding that encompasses their event vision. Be it waterfront, in the garden or in a treehouse, outdoor weddings are so very romantic because it is like Mother Nature is lending a bit of her own glory to your wedding day.
Provided you have your logistics and contingency plans worked out, your outdoor wedding can be a glorious, memorable affair “as long as the sun shines!”
Also be sure to think strategically as ceremonies happen within a time frame of 30 minutes.
Make sure that you have another area in the venue that can equally serve as a main focal point for your guests to attend if it rains…
The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds.
