Wedding Terms and Conditions
To prevent any misunderstanding occurring it is useful to have a form of contract. In the unlikely event that disagreements arise between parties, we would therefore advise you of the following conditions before you continue your wedding preparations. Your wedding at The Lodge will not be confirmed until this contract is signed and received by us.
1. The Lodge can hold a provisional booking for 7 days without obligation. This booking will automatically be released.
2. Reservations can only be confirmed upon payment of a deposit of 50% of the full wedding cost and a signed copy of these terms and conditions, by signing these Terms and Conditions you are agreeing that this is a legally binding document. Payment can be made by debit card, credit card (2% surcharge) or BACS. Please note we do not accept personal or company cheques.
3. Final details with anticipated numbers are required 60 days before the date of the event.
4. A pro-forma invoice of the estimated amount will be sent to you with your receipt. With the remaining balance due 30 days prior to the event. A final sundries bill is payable on the day and a guaranteed method of payment is required for this. All guests will be asked on arrival to provide a guaranteed method of payment if they intend to charge sundries to their room.
5. The organiser is liable for the actions of their guests and for any damage caused to the building, fixtures and fittings or in the grounds of The Lodge.
6. For cancellation received between 12 to 3 months of the proposed date, the fee is 50% of the anticipated charges.
7. For the cancellation received within 1 month of the proposed date, the fee is 100% of the anticipated charges, the reason for this is because of our small size, cancellations affect us significantly, this gives us little chance of filling the space due to our remote location. For these reasons we hold a strict cancellation policy.
8. The Lodge may have to make changes for reason of force majeure, meaning unusual or unforseeable circumstances beyond its control, the consequences of which neither our suppliers nor we could avoid such as natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions.
9. We recommend that all our clients take out wedding insurance for their event.
