We could not achieve our levels of excellence without our resident dedicated staff.

Front of House

Alice Gill is front of house to meet-and-greet and tailor your stay to your requirements.

Alice is also an experienced wedding planner and will take all the stresses out of your big day.

The Lodge Chef

The pride of Scotland is its produce and our resident chef, Donald Munro, incorporates his knowledge of local seasonal produce with simple, traditional cooking methods to produce culinary delights.

With fish from Mallaig, beef from Glen Fyne and organic vegetables and herbs from our own gardens we are able to offer exceptional, nutritious food served to the highest standards in unique surroundings.

The Lodge Gardener

Surrounded by woodland our loch-side garden is well stocked with rhododendrons, azaleas, heathers and herbaceous borders. Our resident gardener applies their years of experience to maintain and nurture the gardens to their optimum potential. The Lodge has grown, from seed, a wide variety of organic seasonal fruits, vegetables and herbs in their kitchen garden.

The Lodge also arranges cut flowers, grown on site, throughout The Lodge and is on hand to offer advice to any future bridal party.

The Lodge Butler

Our fully-trained, ex-army, resident butler complements the rest of our staff and is on hand to cater for your needs as well as pipe you into dinner (as he did for the Queen Mother), lead you in whisky tasting or tell you a Highland tale or two.

A character in his own right, Gordon can speak fluent Arabic, Turkish and Spanish has travelled extensively, during his time in the Intelligence Corp. He is a trained Highland storyteller and a very knowledgeable whisky taster and can arrange a night you might not remember as you have your choice of over 100 Scottish whiskys in the Whisky Bar. He can also facilitate private tours of the local distilleries.

We have also 4 trained first aiders in our staff.

“Thanks for all your help in making this one of my best trips ever.”
