Directions to The Lodge from Glasgow Airport
From Glasgow Airport - get on to the M8 (signposted to Greenock) once on the M8 follow signs for the Erskine Bridge. Cross over the Erskine Bridge and exit onto the A82 following signs to Crianlarich and Dumbarton. Keep on the A82 until you reach Tarbet then take the A83 in the direction of Campbeltown. You will pass through Arrochar (small village) and approximately 7 miles North, at the top of the road known as the Rest & Be Thankful, you will see a turning on the left signposted to Lochgoilhead/Carrick Castle (B828). Take this left hand turn.
The B828 is a single-track twisty road- follow it for approximately 5 miles to the village. Before the village there is a bridge over a small river. Take a right immediately before the bridge, following the sign for Carrick Castle. The Lodge is 2 miles along this road. You will pass a Ministry of Defence Base on your left with a large chain link fence. From here the house is the 3rd opening on the left (gateways are well spaced out). The first is Lochgoilhead Cruisers (Boat Hire), the second is a white gate at York Cottage. The third is The Lodge.
The Lodge has high stone walls with wrought iron gates. Please press the button at the gates to gain access. The driveway is very steep.
